More CREATIVITY needed!

At Imagination Ink Creative Education & Entertainment Services and the Studio & Study we really believe in fostering creativity and imagination in everything we do. To understand why we believe this is so important in education and for the future we turn to Sir Ken Robinson who led the British government's 1998 advisory committee on creative and cultural education.

During the infamous TED conference 18 minute TALK (recorded February 2006) Sir Ken states that "CREATIVITY is just as important as LITERACY" and that we ought to pay more attention to fostering creativity in public education.

Everywhere around the globe, public education has the same hierarchy of subjects: 1. mathematics and language, 2. the humanities, 3. the arts

Why is this so?

Sir Ken argues that public education systems came into being in the nineteenth century because of industrialism and cannot continue because our future is much more dynamic.

An absolutely inspiring, fascinating, and at many times humorous 18 minutes, take a look...
